Mission
Webzzle's mission
is to explore and organize the world's knowledge to make it useful for
humanity to produce new knowledge to solve the world's problems.
Why
did we develop Webzzle ? From 1650 till
1800, "The Enlightenment"
was a movement developed by French, German, English, Spannish, Italian
and Dutch thinkers. It spread through Europe as well as the
United States. All together, people build the realm of knowledge which
reaches its pinacle thanks to initiatives like:
"The
Encyclopedia",
or a systematic dictionary of the sciences, arts, and crafts of
Diderot & D'Alembert which was a general encyclopedia published in
France between 1751 and 1772
The Bibliothèque
Bleue, a collection of cheaply produced books
published in Troyes, France. These commercial books were intended for a
largely rural and semi-literate audience. These books included
almanacs, retellings of medieval romances and condensed versions of
popular novels, among other things.
The "Enlightenment"
principle motivated the creation of the
American Declaration of Independence, the United
States Bill of Rights, the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and
of the Citizen.
Today, Internet enables the "Age of Knowledge". Human beings agree to
build free knowledge Web sites like Wikipedia. Webzzle is an initiative
to help humanity to explore this knowledge
world and do as many good things as what has been produced during the
"Age of
Enlightenment".

We
think we can bring to the world something that
is useful to all for the
daily life
We
like the Web in general and we want to build the knowledge Web, a
knowledge network. We would
like Webzzle to become gradually a "grey matter" gold mine,
our
collective brain.
We
explore, not only search
This
is not with an association of two, three or four terms that a search
engine can find exactly the knowledge you look for. In the same way, a
salesman
cannot show you in his shop what you want if you just
say these two, three or four terms to him. It is only when the
engine is made a representation of what you search that it can serve
you similar things. To be made this representation either
there
are several exchanges between you and the engine (like a discussion
with the salesman), or you show him an existing thing while asking him
what is approaching (and you explore). Moreover, there are so many
interesting things on the Web that we think we will spend more time
exploring than searching in the future. Tomorrow, search engine will be part of the explorer category
and we'll wonder how we could find useful knowledge using keyword
search engines.
We
look forward better quality results and need both human
knowledge
and another technology that the keywords to find them
We use everyday
Google, Wikipedia, or
others like many of us for our quest for knowledge. However most of the
time,
technologies
show us their limit. Then, Webzzle is useful for us. Moreover,
we combined Google Search to get, if you wish it, the results
of
this engine while avoiding entering lots
of keywords.
We
want to produce the knowledge Web and participate to build the semantic
Web
Today,
the Web needs to be more structured to enable users to better use it.
Lots of good and clever people have great ideas to build the semantic
Web, the meaning based Web. With Webzzle, we offer a new way
of
building a part of it, from knowledge brought by contributors and from
links between Web resources built by contributors.
We
want to change the rules for more justice

Webzzle will generate incomes while making it possible for
the advertisers
to engage with potential customers through knowledge conversations
about their products and services.
The knowledge ads are interesting for the
advertisers which monetize them, and for the users who consult
them and can interact with. We do not lie to the user who is a
friend of Webzzle. We specify clearly when a message is commercial (in
usual
specific zone). Moreover, we do not sell the sites in the list of
results and we do not allow the advertisers to pay to improve the rank
of their knowledge ads.

Meaning of
Webzzle & Pronounciation
Webzzle is a new
word. We chose it
because we see the Web as a huge puzzle, made of knowledge pieces, in
which every one contributes. You
know how to pronounce puzzle. Replace "pu" by
"Web"
and you will say Webzzle like us.
