Webzzle Milestones
Webzzle is a
new word. We chose it
because we see the Web as a huge puzzle in which each one of us
contributes,
with his manner, to carry it out. Each one of us can act and impact
Webzzle. We combine together elements within the Web information system
(data, information, knowledge, applications, widgets, software
bricks, Web services, Smart Web Services or others) to carry out what
we wish to obtain.
All
starts with meetings, in a sport club of a small French city,
at
ISEP (School of engineering in Paris, France) and at the university of
Hull (England). Friends impassion themselves for new technologies and
the Web which emerges at this period. They want to become entrepreneurs
in the future. In 1998, they leave the school and want to create a
company. They have ideas, motivation and but no money. They're on
the road…
From Holland,
France and England, Xavier,
Thierry, helped on the road by their friends David, Jerome and Julien,
devote more than two years to imagine, design and set up the whole of
the technological innovations which can make their universe evolve. All
work hard everyday, in the evening in addition to their
respective job, in order to start the adventure and make their ideas a
reality.
It is only in
July 2001 that a stage is reached. The project named Kankoon becomes
the 1st prize winner at the
competition for assistance in creating innovative technology companies
in Europe.
The Kankoon company is brought to life in September 2001. The dream
becomes reality and the difficulties really start. Quickly Xavier and
Thierry only find themselves in the operational work. It will take them
2 years,
only, starting from the ground, without financial support, with few
people who believe in it at this time (Didier and some others who
brought advice and which we also thank), to carry out the
first
product, to find the first customers among large companies and
to
develop the business. We thank those who trusted us. Kankoon has been
supported at this time by 92 Entreprendre & Banque Populaire who
believed in the product, technologies and the founders.
In September 2005, Didier and Romuald join the company and participate
to the Webzzle foundations.
An opportunity :
The users become actors on the Web
and not only spectators. A new stage is reached, a new page of
the history opens on the basis of of innovating technologies,
success stories with large companies and new meetings. Webzzle is in
preparation with new values that match another vision of the
world.
General
Internet Company acquires Webzzle. Webzzle
is
transformed. Wikipedia becomes the only source of concepts.
Webzzle is now a 1-Click Web explorer mixing Webzzle & Wikipedia quality results and Google enhanced results.
New engineers and famous
companies decide to join the movement because Webzzle makes sense now
in the world history. Then, everything changes. |
